Flat Bench Review [20 / 10 / '24]

From my recent trip to Sydney to deliver a flat bench, I received this review from another happy customer [gee, these Benches are popular] ...

Using your bench is like using a Leica Camera. You want to press just to experience the bench. Review:

My second Toronto Barbell bench is the Flat Bench with the wheels and handle. My first Toronto Bench was the awesome and indestructible Adjustable Bench. So, some observations: Toronto benches set a very stable “triangular” footprint. The foam is dense and thick. Foam is one place a lower quality bench can make a significant saving. Have you seen indentations made by lifter’s heads in a bench? The ‘faux leather’ is at least twice as thick as the ‘prominent’ brand bench I considered. The dense foam is fixed to the supporting board at regular 2-3 cm intervals (versus the 10-15cm interval seen elsewhere). The board supporting the foam is marine ply, not chipboard. Of course, Mark’s welds are so much neater than having a bunch of bolts in a contrasting color.

Mark’s delivery fee was similar to receiving a ‘flat packed’ bench. Mark is easy to deal with, straight forward, communicates the progress of your bench and his plans for delivery. Buying anything from Mark is a relationship, not just a purchase.

Yes, if you wanted a bench yesterday then buy another brand. If you want quality, when nothing is scrimped on, to just save a few cents, and you want to support a locally manufactured product (not a re-branded bench sourced from offshore) then Toronto is the place to get your bench.”

Mark if any-one thinks my review is a fake I’m happy that you provide them with my email.
